Hi, my name is Joe Meneilly. I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from
Syracuse University in 2000, and had the privilege to
study with some outstanding artists during my time there. My own
artistic style is rather old fashioned, utilizing traditional materials
and techniques that are quite similar to those used by history's
masters, whom I have looked to as a source of inspiration for so long.
As you might have noticed if you've had a chance to browse through my
galleries, my favorite subjects stem from life and I truly enjoy
painting people and animals. Some of my strongest artistic influences
stem from Caravaggio, Michelangelo, William-Adolphe Bouguereau and
Norman Rockwell.
Painting a mural allows me to relive some of the more traditional
methods that were utilized by history's greats. While I'm sure that I
will never do anything so awe inspiring and monumental as Michelangelo's
Sistine Chapel Ceiling, I still derive great pleasure in creating unique
artwork in a permanent location, in knowing that it may be there for
others to enjoy for years to come. So please, take a moment to browse my
galleries and let me know if there is anything that you find
interesting. There is no endeavor in life that I am more passionate for,
and I hope that I might be able to help you! If you have a project in
mind that you think I may be able to help you with, please do not
hesitate to contact me to request a quote, or simply to discuss and
brainstorm.
Below are a few sample photos of my murals. Thank you for taking the
time to look through my artwork.
